Chennai-based multiplex operator, Sathyam Cinemas, and technology provider for films, audio and video, Real Image Technologies, have joined hands for film production. The two companies aim to break new ground in Tamil cinema by identifying young and fresh talent and backing them with digital format technology.
Their first production, Thiru Thiru Thuru Thuru, also happens to be the first Tamil film to have an all-digital release in India and abroad. While the movie, to be shot in Red One camera, will be post produced in 4K resolution, the digital colour grading will be executed on Digital Vision’s Film Master, thereby making it the first Indian film to be finished on this system.
Thiru Thiru Thuru Thuru, directed by debutant Nandhini JS, will also be released in Telugu. While the movie features Ajmal and newcomer Rupa in the lead, the shooting part has been completed and the post-production work will start soon.
